Antica Dimora Residenza Johanna is a romantic Guest House in the historical city center of Florence. This is our first born lodging house and has been recently completely renovated, preserving the antique doors and original floors.
This residence is distinguished by its charming entrance: a large courtyard with a tree in the middle, overlooking an elegant and spacious staircase that recalls the Florentine tradition.
Residenza Johanna is only few minutes away from the Basilica of San Lorenzo, where the Medici Tombs (carved by Michelangelo) are located, but also nearby the lively outdoor market of San Lorenzo, in the area surrounding the homonymous Church.
Residenza Johanna is composed by different types of rooms: the Single spacious room, the Double Classic, with a cheaper rate but same spaces, the Deluxe rooms and the Executive, perfect for a family of four. The rooms, displaying traditional wallpaper and silk curtains, and the common areas decorated with precious family furniture, are located on the first floor of a beautiful nineteenth century building.
Elegant rooms with private bathroom, traditional Florentine silk furnishings and original 19th-century furniture, equipped with antiques and with an elegant four-poster bed (125 x 200cm) made by our artisans.
All different from each other in the various pastel colors of the walls, these spacious rooms are available in double or triple option, with double bed or twin beds. They are located on the first floor of a beautiful nineteenth-century building and all have private bathrooms and traditional Florentine furnishings.
All different from one another, they are furnished with antique and elegant furniture and four-poster beds, curtains in refined silk fabrics and antique terracotta, parquet or grit floors. The bathrooms are clad in Carrara marble or hand-crafted tiles.
Different from all the others, they are composed of a double bedroom and a small living room, the ideal solution for families with children. These are elegant rooms with a very spacious bathroom displaying bath and shower.
The breakfast room can also be used as a relaxing area where to drink a cup of tea with biscuits and a slice of cake in the afternoon, and a good glass of vin santo or an herbal tea after dinner.
