Sustainable Thinking Ferragamo Exhibition in Florence

Between the exhibitions in Florence you can’t really miss this season, there is the one signed by Salvatore Ferragamo, in collaboration with the Municipality of Florence, Palazzo Vecchio and Museo del Novecento, Sustainable Thinking.

The exhibition Sustainable Thinking, as the name itself says, is dedicated to the concept of sustainability, defined as the human ability to satisfy the present needs without compromising the one of the generations to come.

A theme that is very strong nowadays, where the protection of the environment is at the center, and highly polluting industries such as Fashion are looking for possible alternative production techniques.

A balance that can be found only with a new way of thinking, more conscious and accepted by people, looking to create new strategies of development and coexistence, themes that are the core message of Sustainable Thinking, through the perspective of Art & Fashion.

A look into the many artists that are trying to make the difference, establishing again a strong relationship with nature, using organic materials, recycled products, and paying attention to the environment with no polluting techniques.

The Fashion industry is at a huge historical crossroad, meeting a new generation of designers, and seeing the rebranding of the strongest Fashion Brands, that are trying to adopt a new more sustainable image, using more ecological materials and improving the productive process, making it less impactful on the environment.

During this exhibition, available at Palazzo Spini Feroni from April 12th 2019 to March 8th 2020, you will be able to admire the ideas of environmental safeguard of global artists, fashion designers, fashion firms and textile industries.

The exhibition is open every day from 10am to 7.30 pm, excluded the 15.8, 25.12, 1.1, with an entrance fee of 9 euros. The expositive project continues also in the partner rooms of Sale delle Udienze of Palazzo Vecchio and Museo del Novecento.
